On Friday afternoon, the whole team headed for Upton Country Park in Poole for some fun in the sun.
As part of our annual Summer Social, we participated in a variety of team building exercises – all of which were completed on Segways.
Only Dean, our Technical Manager, and James, one of our Workshop Technicians, had had any previous practise on them so the rest of us were a bit anxious to get on the two-wheeled, self-balancing scooters.
After a practise round, we separated into two teams (Team Starfish and Team Winner) before beginning the games, which included an egg and spoon race, relay races and lots more.
As you can imagine, there were a few tumbles along the way (we shan’t mention any names) but overall, everyone found their balance and in the end Team Winner were victorious!
The sunshine was out for the whole afternoon, which ended with a delicious barbecue. Overall, a great team afternoon.
